Shout Outs from Parents & Students
Please use THIS LINK to provide a shout-out to a staff member who deserves a pat on the back!
Ms. Ferrer: Carol Ferrer is a fantastic teacher. She has helped our daughter be excited, and maintain confidence in math.
Mr. Carter: I loved seeing Mr. Carter during morning carpool last week. He always had the best smile and he directed traffic with great flair. Made me smile everyday while I dropped my son off.
Ms. Rowe: Thanks so much for the amazing teaching style you have and your thoughtfulness for our success is so kind! :)
Dr. Robinson: Dr. Robinson is always making math extra fun and competitive in my kid’s 6th grade class. My kid has mentioned how his teacher makes sure everyone has understood the concepts being taught and she tries different ways of explaining a concept. Dr. Robinson is also a role model for the kids in class. We love you Dr. Robinson!
Please congratulate our Staff of the Year!

Network Security & District-Issued Devices
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you and your family well. I am reaching out to discuss an important issue concerning the security of our district's network and the use of district-issued devices by our students.
Our network security team conducts regular checks to identify compromised devices, including those that have been hacked or reset to factory settings buy students. I must emphasize that resetting these devices is a severe breach of our digital security protocols. This action bypasses the security and filtering settings that the district has implemented for the safety and security of our network. Engaging in such activities is classified as a Tier 3 offense under Rule 18h (Tamper/Phish/Hack District Network).
In light of this, please remind your student(s) the importance of adhering to the Device User Agreement (page 73 in the 2023-2024 Code of Conduct here: https://www.fultonschools.org/codeofconduct) when using any school technology. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in disciplinary actions as outlined in the Fulton County Schools Code of Conduct. It is crucial that we all work together to ensure the responsible use of our technology resources.
I encourage you to discuss this with your children and remind them of the importance of using school technology appropriately. Your support in this matter is vital in maintaining a secure and conducive learning environment for all students.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter and for your partnership in helping us maintain a safe and secure educational environment for all students.

Reminder for Student Absences
- We are in a time of year when students are becoming ill and missing school. These reminders should help you and the students notify the school about absences and get their work completed upon return.
- Student absences and excuse notes should be reported to the front office staff (Ms. Willis and/or Ms. Maples).
- Students can check in TEAMS for assignments and should also check with their teachers for their work.
- The school district policy states students should complete their work after returning to school by the end of the same number of days they missed. For example, if a student was absent on Monday and Tuesday (2 days), their work would be due no later than Thursday which is 2 days after they return to school.
Volunteers & Visitors - New Check In Procedure
There is a new check-in system in place for volunteers and school visitors. All visitors will need to bring their driver's licenses with them when they come into the school. The system requires all visitors to scan their licenses whenever they enter the school. The new system will require your license each time you come in to the school.

Greetings, TRMS Community!
I would like to introduce myself as your School-Based Mental Health Therapist Nehemiah McClendon, M. ED, NCC, LAPC
I am here at your service to help your child with navigating the challenges of academic life while also addressing personal emotional needs can be overwhelming. I am returning for my second year here at TRMS and am thrilled to continue to do great and impactful work with our students. During my tenor at TRMS I have collaboratively worked with administration and teachers to provide individual, group and famly services for TRMS community.
As a therapist I Can Help:
🌟 Individualized Support: I recognize that every student is unique. With one-on-one sessions tailored to each student's personal experiences, allowing for a deep exploration of thoughts and feelings.
🌟 Anxiety and Stress Management: From exam jitters to social pressures, anxiety can take a toll on a student's well-being. I’m working to equip students with practical strategies to manage anxiety and stress effectively.
🌟 Depression Coping Skills: Depression can cast a shadow over even the brightest moments. Our therapist provides tools and techniques to help students regain a sense of control, build resilience, and find joy in their daily lives.
🌟 Emotional Awareness: Our therapist guides students in understanding their emotions, helping them to recognize triggers and respond to challenging situations in healthy ways.
🌟 Supportive Environment: Sometimes, all it takes is a listening ear. Therapy can create a judgment-free space where students can express themselves openly and honestly.
Mental health matters. I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, and I’m here to help break down stigmas associated with mental health challenges. By providing an accessible platform for students to engage in conversations about their well-being, we aim to create a culture of acceptance, empathy, and understanding.
How to Get Started:
Speak to Your Child: Initiate a conversation with your child about their feelings and emotions. Let them know that our therapist is here to provide guidance and support.
Contact Us: Reach out to our school's counseling department to express your interest in connecting your child with our therapist.
