JUNIORS! WCHS FLORIDA COLLEGE TOUR! SPOTS LIMITED!
Juniors, we are happy to announce that our Florida College Tour registration is open! We had a great time on our inaugural tour last year and can't wait to bring the Class of 2026 along this time! Visit the majority of our state universities in three full days! Spots are limited so please email me if you are interested (kfaysash@pasco.k12.fl.us). Deposits of $200 will open soon and I need your name to add you to the Rycor payment button. (The final payment will be due by January). Due to space constraints, we will not have room for parent chaperones but five staff will accompany students. This is a great opportunity to see our schools before you apply senior year! (Priority will be given to students with a 3.0 or above due to public university admissions requirements.)
COLLEGE APPLICATION RESOURCES
DUAL ENROLLMENT
Students who plan to take Dual Enrollment need to complete a PHSC Dual Enrollment application at PHSC.edu. Click APPLY in the upper right and then select the Public HS/Dual Enrollment application option.

Look for the email from PHSC with next steps including setting up their PHSC student email, completing new student orientation and the online readiness course.
WCHS will offer the PERT for students one time per year (FEBRUARY)--sign ups will begin in January.
**If you need to retake PERT, that can be scheduled through PHSC: https://testing.phsc.edu/exam/common/pert Score reports must be brought to WCHS. Students need to complete the PHSC Dual Enrollment application BEFORE scheduling PERT at PHSC.**
BRIGHT FUTURES SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION IS OPEN!
Several other scholarships are included in this Florida Financial Aid Application including First Generation Matching Grants, Hispanic Scholars, and the 100% Military Disability Scholarship for those with parents deemed 100% disabled from military service.

XELLO: COLLEGE, CAREER, & LIFE READY STUDENTS
Pasco County Schools has partnered with XELLO, a customizable online planning tool for students in grades 6-12. With XELLO, students can discover personal interests & strengths, research career & college opportunities, & connect learning to academic goal setting & planning.
XELLO is an esteemed College, Career & Life Readiness program that will assist high school students plan for post-secondary success. It allows students self-paced opportunities to:
Learn about themselves – their strengths, interests, and learning styles,
Match careers, colleges and majors to their unique characteristics, academic profile and
preferences,
Build and revise their academic plan and analyze the rigor of their schedule/plan with that of their choice colleges’ entrance requirements or career plans and
Create a resume showcasing their experience, skills, and goals.
Students can access XELLO anytime, anywhere by logging in through myPascoConnect Apps and clicking on the XELLO icon. An account has already been created for students.

If your student is engaging in another community service opportunity, please text or email Mrs. Faysash for pre-approval. This is to ensure the hours will count towards Bright Futures.
*Paid work hours are now being accepted in place of community service hours for Bright Futures. You will need to bring in Pay Stubs or a W-2 to prove employment.
