WELCOME TO OAK HILL PRE-K!
By Mr. Griffin
Greetings Preschool Parents,
I hope you had a very relaxing weekend. I can say that my weekend was very busy. There are only 5 weeks of school left! Can you believe that!? We will continue to teach your child the necessities needed to prepare them for kindergarten or their second year of preschool. Be on the lookout for information regarding our two upcoming field trips to Grant's Farm this Friday 4/28, and the Zoo 5/12. If your child started this school year at the age of 3, they cannot ride the bus and will need someone to bring them and stay with them on the field trip. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you!
Below are a few tips for a successful preschool experience.
· -Please be sure to allow your child a good night of sleep. Students are expected to be at school daily and on time. Oak Hill Elementary bell times are 9:10 for arrival and 4:07pm for dismissal. Attendance is a critical component of our program and will help set up a foundation for a lifetime love of learning.
·
-Pre-K students will attend specialty classes daily, Art, Music, Library or Gym. We will also go outside to the playground daily, please dress your child accordingly and provide layers as needed.
·
-Students who ride the bus will be escorted out to the bus by a teacher assistant every day. Please make sure your child keeps their bus tag identification attached to their book bag.
·
-There is a school supply listed provided at registration. Thank you for sending in materials. Each student will need a small blanket for nap time and a complete change of labeled clothes to be kept at school. The clothes can be ‘play clothes’, they do not need to be uniforms.
·
-Safety is our number one priority; please send your child in closed toed shoes daily (flip flops and sandals are prohibited).
