Message from the Principal

Good Afternoon Findley Community~

It has been a busy time of year! International Extravaganza, OBOB, Friendship Parties and the business of school. A long weekend is here, and with it some rest, relaxation and time to recharge. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Thank you for turning right out of our parking lot during arrival and dismissal. When everyone follows the posted signage and procedures, car drop off and pick up goes so much more smoothly. Please also use the crosswalk at Thompson and Saltzman. We have had few close class with pedestrians crossing Thompson or Saltzman in the middle of traffic. Taking the extra steps to use the marked crosswalks can save lives.

With Gratitude,

Sherry Marsh, Ed.D.

Principal

International Extravaganza-Feedback Wanted!

Thank you for being a part of the 2nd Annual Findley International Extravaganza!

We had 18 stage performances, 14 booths, 3 local food vendors, a photo booth, and hundreds of excited children! What a great opportunity to come together to embrace, honor, and celebrate our differences.

Please help us continue to improve this event by completing the short feedback form.

Annual Budget Survey

Please take a moment to review the District Annual Budget report and provide your input on priorities for the 24-25 school year.

Habits of Mind Series-Collaborates

As shared in previous editions of the Dragon News, as a school community we are working on naming and noticing our Habits of Mind. Habits of Mind are dispositions and behaviors that support learning, both as individuals and as a community.

In this edition, we are highlighting the Habit of Mind Collaborates! When students are able to collaborate, they listen and build on the ideas of others. They demonstrate the ability to solve problems and to contribute to common goal while working with others.

If your child's name is written inside their jacket we will make sure it's returned. Lost and found is located by the recess doors downstairs. We also have a number of glasses. If your child is missing glasses have them check the yellow bin in the office. Thank You!

Change of Go Home Plans?

We know that families may change how their student goes home some time. We definitely recommend that this not be a regular thing as it can be confusing for your student / teacher / office.

If you are changing how your student is going home, please make sure you contact the office. You may email fndly-communications@beaverton.k12.or.us or phone 503.356.2100.

Notifying the office allows them to know exactly where your student should be and helps us keep them safe!

Thank you for your help!
