Families and Students,

As we enter November, I am thinking about how very thankful I am for the students, families, and staff at Starr Elementary. Every day, I get to see teachers create learning experiences that make difficult concepts make sense to little minds, celebrate students who are so proud of their learning or behavior, and share moments of success with our families. Thank you to all of you for the special role that you play. We truly have such a very special little family here, and we are all blessed every day to be a part of it.

*November 15th - Picture Retake Day

*November 16th - 4th Gr Field Trip to Conservation Days

*November 22nd - Positive Party (STEM Party)

*November 23 - 25th - Thanksgiving Break - NO SCHOOL

*November 30th - Starr Holiday Program @ Civic Hall (6:00 pm)

The safety of our students is of upmost importance including while riding the bus to and from school and during field trips. We will be addressing bus safety and bus expectations with all students and work with bus drivers and bus aids to ensure expectations are being met. We also encourage families to talk with your child about the importance of staying seated while riding the bus, following adult instructions, keeping hands to ourselves, and using kind words. We want to encourage a safe and positive start and end of the day for all students and appreciate your support in our efforts.

If you need to make a change to how your child is going home, please make sure you contact the front office at (765) 973-3426 BEFORE 2:00. We cannot guarantee changes made after that time. Thank you!
