“Where faith soars, minds excel, and futures ignite”
Week of September 29th- October 5th
2023-2024 School Year - Issue #6
“Do not doubt, do not hesitate, never despair of the mercy of God."
St. Isidore of Seville
Hello St. Michael- St. Clement Students and Families,
And just like that, September fades away and October takes its place. The inaugural month of the school year concludes, and I couldn't have asked for a more promising beginning. We experienced our first Chick-Fil-A day, conducted our first fire drill, narrowed down the Musical production to a select few, held our first Principal Huddle, and attended many Masses.
During the Huddle, I had a heartfelt conversation with the students about the importance of maintaining a clean school campus. There have been instances where trash and various items were left on tables, scattered across the front lawn, or abandoned in the stairwells. I emphasized the significance of kindness and respect towards one another, as well as the value of completing and submitting assignments on time. I eagerly anticipate our next huddle at the end of October.
Yours in Christ,
Matt Zipp

IMPORTANT Lunch Reminder!
A reminder to all families that students have two options for lunch each day:
- To bring their own lunch from home.
- Order a hot lunch from the school cafeteria.
As stated in the Parent/Student Handbook on page 41:
"NO fast food lunches may be brought into school by parents or sent to school via a food delivery service (i.e. - Uber Eats, Door Dash)." Sodas are also NOT permitted.
The Archdiocese of Baltimore Child Nutrition Program mandates that if a student forgets to bring in a lunch to school or forgets to sign up for a hot lunch, a cheese sandwich and milk will be provided. Thank you for your cooperation!
Pastorate Food Drive Begins
St. Michael - St. Clement School will be holding a food drive during the month of October for the food pantries in our pastorate (St. Michael the Archangel, Church of the Annunciation, and St. Clement Mary Hofbauer). We will begin collecting non-perishable food items on Monday, October 2nd. Donations may be brought into school and dropped off at either school office. Non-perishable food items include canned goods, dry pasta, peanut butter, beans, etc. If you have any questions, please call the school office.

"Pray, Hope, Don't Worry"- St. Padre Pio
Saint Michael the Archangel isn't a saint, but rather he is an angel, and the leader of all angels and of the army of God. This is what the title "Archangel" means, that he is above all the others in rank.
Redemptorist preacher and reformer. Clement preached, built orphanages and schools, and established a vast Redemptorist presence in the city.
