Leaf Raking Service Project
On Friday, October 27, the middle school students will be participating in our annual leaf raking service project for the elderly and disabled citizens of our community. Please have elderly and disabled citizens who would like their yard raked that day call the IC office at 319-296-1089 or email Ms. Berry at cberry@boscocatholic.org with name and address.
Each middle school student needs one package of lawn/leaf bags and a rake. These may be brought in at anytime. No rakes on Waterloo buses.

Catholic Order of Forester Youth Members
The Catholic Order of Foresters youth members Halloween party will be held Sunday, October 29 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the St Mary Center. All youth members in attendance will receive a light stick and a bag of treats. A few games of Bingo will be played.
Archery Informational Meeting
There will be an informational parent meeting about our Archery team in the St. Mary Center commons on Tuesday, October 24 at 6:00pm. Bosco Archery is open to students in grades 4-12. If your student is interested in archery this year, please attend the meeting.
Middle School Basketball Parent Meeting
There will be a parent meeting for 7th-8th grade boys interested in playing middle school basketball this year. The meeting will be at St Mary Center on Tuesday, October 24 at 5:30 pm (right before the archery parent meeting). If you are unable to attend please contact Coach Goodwin 319-271-0278.
St. Joseph Preschool hosted it's first Breakfast with Buddies on Wednesday. Our preschool friends enjoyed breakfast with their special guests. They got the show off their classroom as well as share a book they each colored.
K-1-2 Field Trip
On Tuesday our kindergarten, first, and second grade students attended Giraffes Can't Dance at UNI's Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC) in Cedar Falls as part of the Kaleidoscope Series.
Youth group
Youth group will meet on November 1st and November 8th from 6:15-7:30pm in the HS FCS room. All 8th grade- 12th graders are welcome!
Help the COF Raise Funds for Kindergarten Classroom Emergency Doors
The Catholic Order of Foresters will be holding a Frosted, Pecan and/or Caramel Roll Matching Fund Fundraiser on Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5. Proceeds will go to help with the cost of the emergency doors in our kindergarten classrooms at Immaculate Conception School. Order your delicious freshly baked frosted, pecan and/or and caramel rolls by October 26. The cost is $3.00 each or 6 rolls for $15.00. Orders will be taken through Thursday, October 26. Extras will be available but are not guaranteed. Orders may be picked up at St. Mary Center in Gilbertville on Saturday, November 4 from 4:30–6:45 pm or Sunday, November 5 from 8:30-11:15 am.
Along with the Roll Sale, the COF has a Matching Fund Raffle. Click the link below to print your tickets. Tickets and payment may be returned to school in an envelope marked COF Raffle. Ms. Berry will get them turned in for the drawing on Nov. 8.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare the rolls on Friday, November 3 from 2:30-3:30pm, and on Saturday, November 4 from 9:00-10:00am to package rolls. We need volunteers for roll pick up as well on Saturday, November 4 from 4:15-6:45pm and Sunday, November 5 from 8:15-11:15am. All in St. Mary Center. HIgh school students who are attending NCYC will be having a share night at Culvers in Waterloo on Tuesday, October 24, from 4 to 8 PM. Culver's will donate 10% of sales to their NCYC expenses. If you enjoy a treat or meal you'll help our group with expenses for National Catholic Youth Conference coming up in November in Indianapolis. NCYC brings together students from all across America for a life-changing encounter with Christ. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for growing their faith.
Blood Drive
Blood Drive: The Don Bosco National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive with the American Red Cross in the high school gym on Tuesday, November 7. The drive will have appointments available from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. Walk-in donors are welcome, but we do prefer to have scheduled appointments as much as possible. It helps to keep the flow and get everyone through in a timely manner. Have you noticed that "CALENDAR" is now an option to click on at the top right corner of our website? This will take you to a weekly view of not only athletics and activities but other happenings applicable to our schools and school system. We are working to add items such as professional development days, PTO meetings, and similar events. You can scroll by week or look at the month.
