Principal's Message and Construction UPDATE

We have a very busy month ahead here at Lorin Eden and we have reached a major milestone getting us closer to a new and refreshed campus! After today, our Kindergarten classrooms will be moving to their new classrooms in the brand new buildings! Later this month, many of our other classes will be shifting locations around campus.

Ms. Scharfenkamp's 5th grade, Mr. Dafoe's 5th grade and Ms. Swoopes' 6th grade, along with YEP and Science will be moving into the new buildings. Ms. Zataray's class, Ms. Suarez's class, Ms. Baxter's class, Ms. Au Yeung's Preschool class, Ms. Williams' class and Ms. Soares' class will be moving to new rooms on campus so that those two wings may be modernized and updated. The current Kindergarten wing will be demolished in the coming weeks so there will be lots of changes to see!

This is a major undertaking at a challenging time of the year, as teachers are preparing for Parent Conferences during the first week of December. We appreciate everyone's patience during this busy time.

After the Thanksgiving break, all access to pick up or drop off at the office here at school will be through the Cafeteria doors. There will be fencing up while the next phase of the project is completed, likely through the end of June. More information on access to the Lorin Eden campus will be provided next week.

KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES

On Monday 11/14 - meet your teachers in the Cafeteria at 8:15 and we will walk over to our new classrooms together! Families are welcome to walk children to class as well that day.

SSC Parent Representative Nominations Needed

School Site Council (SSC) serves as the school community representative body for determining the focus of the school’s academic instructional program and all related categorical resources.
It is very important to have 5 community members/parents part of this group. Lorin Eden will be holding elections to fill the vacant positions.

If you are interested please follow this link to the SSC Parent Interest Form.
