Carleton Washburne
Monday Memo - February 12, 2024
Washburne Families,
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Thank you for making time to connect with our staff during winter conferences this past week. Your collaboration with our teachers is a crucial piece of the student experience at Washburne. We know our staff were excited to share and reflect on the progress made by Washburne students as they continue to demonstrate the characteristics listed in our Portrait of a Graduate. As we head into spring (hopefully sooner rather than later if the current weather is any indication), we are encouraged by our students’ resilience and look forward to their continued growth and development.
Lost and Found
Thank you to all of our families who checked our lost and found during conferences. We know that many long-lost items were recovered. We will be keeping our lost and found out in the front foyer over the next few weeks. Please take a look at the photos below and stop by school to claim any lost items.
Institute Day - February 16th
As a reminder, Friday, February 16th is a half day of student attendance. At Washburne, students will be dismissed at 11:50am.

Where does the money go? Children's Miracle Network
The energetic and creative Dance Marathon Student Steering Committee has set its sights on beating our total from last year, which made us the top fundraising middle school in the country! Our total last year was $83,186.70.
Last, there will be plenty of ways to volunteer to help plan and run the dance Marathon through the PTO. That information is forthcoming. Stay tuned!
