A note from the principal
Dear Outstanding Oak View families,
As our school year begins, I am filled with excitement, energy, and enthusiasm for a fabulous year at Oak View Elementary! I am elated to be back at Oak View serving as the interim Principal and proud Husky!
Summers in Minnesota are the best! I truly hope you had a chance to spend quality time with your family and friends and spend time doing what you enjoy most in the summer and are re-energized for another outstanding school year.
Parents, families, and school staff are` the “Keys to Success!” Together we “unlock” exciting opportunities for our students, build strong and lasting relationships with each other, and create a cohesive and safe environment for everyone. Our students will be actively engaged in learning activities that take them beyond where they imagined, believing they can do anything, and achieving so much more. At Oak View and across Osseo Area Schools, we act on our mission which is to inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.
As the school year progresses, more information will be available to you, so that you can support your child in their learning journey here at Oak View. We cannot do it without you! Together we can make a difference in our Oak View community. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at 763-425-1881.
I am looking forward to meeting all our new families and reconnecting with many familiar faces and families. We have great work to accomplish together!
Warmest regards,
Ann Mock, Interim Principal
Volunteer Coordinator
The beginning of the school year is always the busiest in terms of our volunteer "needs". Right off the bat we will need help/volunteers for the Fun Run on September 29th. We are looking for volunteers to help with the day of tasks- set-up, take-down, pump-up the kids' team, etc. Be on the lookout for a Sign-Up Genius for these opportunities.
Our first "ask" of the school year is with some help scooping ice cream at Open House. Please take a look at the sign-up genius to see if you can help.
In order to volunteer at Oak View or any building in our district, you need to fill out a volunteer application. These applications expire after 1 year so a new one needs to be filled out every school year.
