NOTES FROM MR. FRANK, PRINCIPAL
The school year is off to an amazing start and I cannot express how welcoming the students, staff, and parents have been thus far! The Erin School Community is one that I am proud to be a part of.
Thank you to everyone who has been following our new pick up and drop off procedures. Student safety is a major priority and I believe things have been going quite smoothly. A few reminders moving forward:
- Please remember to pull all the way up to the next available cone, pulling all the way up helps alleviate congestion
- If you are walking your child to their line, please remember to park first and then walk with them to the desired location
- Avoid pulling past our busses and cars that are unloading children
We have made a few slight changes to the back of the school drop off area as well - cones will be placed to help with traffic congestion. There will be a designated area for students to walk so that they are not going in front of any cars. As in the front, pull all the way up to the next available cone so we can keep the line moving. Please do not drop off by the Gaga ball pit if there is room to pull up.
Thank you for your continued efforts and patience to keep all of our students safe!
SCHOOL LUNCH FUNDS - DON'T FORGET!
Also note: Please do NOT send your child with glass containers in their lunches. We want to minimize the chance of broken glass. Thank you!

KETTLE MORAINE YMCA SHE Program
The Kettle Moraine YMCA is coordinating a new after-school program for middle school girls in 5th-8th grade, called SHE (Strong Healthy Empowered). It is a FREE program open to both Y-members and non-members and it meets from 6-8pm once every other week between October-April (14 weeks total). Each week is focused on a different topic pertaining to physical, emotional, social, and mental health, and is led by two experienced Y-staff and professional guest speakers from Washington and Ozaukee Counties. Plus, all of the girls are able to get Red Cross Babysitter certified for free through this program (it's typically $100+ otherwise).
They have programs in West Bend, Slinger, Hartford, Kewaskum, Port Washington, and Cedarburg, with plenty of open spots! This program is a great way to learn more about topics pertaining to pre-teen life, build confidence, and make long-lasting friendships! They welcome students from public schools, private schools, and students who are homeschooled!
The Slinger and Harford programs are open to 5th-8th graders, and they would love to invite students from Erin School District to join the programs! You do not have to be a resident of a specific school district to join. For reference, they have two Slinger programs (A and B - both held at Slinger Middle), which both run every other Wednesday. Harford (held at Central Middle) runs every other Thursday. Both programs run from 6-8pm from October-April.
Here is the link to the website for more information and to register.
The program begins in October, so sign up by the end September. Spots are limited at each site!
