We are lucky and blessed!
Every week, the students, faculty, and staff realized how blessed and lucky we are to have the community we have. Here are just some of the latest examples of how lucky and blessed we are:
- We have so many generous donors, volunteers, and supporters who have reached out recently looking to sponsor fundraisers, purchase items off our classroom wish lists, and want to help with public relations events and with obtaining grants.
- The faculty and staff have noticed how many of our students have grown academically and socially this year; including our 6th graders who demonstrated the largest growth from September to January in math and reading in the entire diocese.
- We see the Holy Spirit at work with families asking about the sacraments: working with Fr. Carlos on Baptism prep for those wanting to enter the church and with Mr. Cass on reconciliation and Holy Communion prep.
- Caring families and staff who go above and beyond the call of duty to help others.
- We are very fortunate to have Fr. Mull and Fr. Carlos who just love the school. Fr. Mull works hard to preserve Catholic education and making sure our school can continue into the future. Fr. Carlos devotes his time to engage with students and share his creativity to help students participate in and share their faith.
Thank you for to all who help make this school and community a beautiful place to work, learn, grow, and thrive!

2023 5th and 6th Grade Spelling Bee
Wednesday afternoon was our SFSSS Spelling Bee!! Our 5th & 6th graders competed to represent SFSSS at the annual Sister Mary Smith Spelling Bee on Thursday, April 27 at 7:00PM at St. Mary's School in Canandaigua.
We had 11 excited students interested in being our representative! 5th graders Brandon, Francesca, Elizabeth Anne, Lucy, Janelle, and Miles, and 6th graders Isabella, Alycia, Wyatt, Caleb, and Matthew all did a WONDERFUL job!! All of them would have represented SFSSS well!! Their classmates were their audience cheering them on.
Congratulations to Isabella Andrade for winning our SFSSS spelling bee, and to Elizabeth Ann Ciancaglini for being our alternate!! Isabella will be our representative at the St. Mary Smith Spelling Bee!
Congratulations to all of our spellers! We are proud of all of them!!
