Happy 3 Day Weekend! Remember we do not have school tomorrow. The Fall parade is October 31st at Montgomery rain or shine. If it is not raining, the students will parade on the large playground and if it rains, we will parade across the stage. Please see your teacherβs newsletter for more information. Also, a gentle reminder if you bring your child to school in the morning that drop off is in the back of the school. It is creating dangerous situations when people park at the bank or dentist office and are walking across bus and car lanes. Safety is our top priority. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

We are in the planning stages for the Thanksgiving canned food drive and want to make it available to any family in our school in need of a turkey and canned food donation. . Please Join Us for the 2nd Annual Montgomery Elementary Chili Cook Off!!
The PTO is sponsoring its 2nd annual Montgomery Elementary Chili Cook Off. Winner will receive a gift card to the Aves Hanger Bookstore and of course bragging rights for the whole year long! There is only room for 8 entries so fill up the sign up genius fast! All chilis are in one category and our wonderful teachers will be the judges. Crock pots are to be dropped off to the school office on Thursday, November 16th before 4:00pm They need to be labeled with an entry name and chef, however the chef's name will be kept secret. Winner will be announced in the S'more on Friday, November 17th.

If chili isn't your thing we still have plenty of ways you can participate and help nourish our teachers while they stay late to hold conferences. Please see the sign up for chili accoutrements and desserts.

Our annual BINGO night is back!
When: Friday, November 3, 2023
Time: 6:30 - 7:30pm (doors open at 6:15pm)
Where: Montgomery Elementary Cafeteria
Who: All Montgomery Elementary Families
Join us for a night of free family fun! Multiple games, prizes, and light snacks. All ages are welcome!
This is not a drop off event. All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

SKATING PARTY β Our first skating party will be on October 27 at Castle Skateland, mark your calendars!
FALL PARADE β Come see our students strut their stuff in their trick-or-treat costumesβ¦and our teachers usually have some epic themed costumes as well! More details will be coming via email, but this event will take place on the afternoon of Halloween, October 31.
PTO MEETING - Our next general meeting will be on Thursday, November 9 @ 6:00pm. District Superintendent, Mr. Chad Lewis will be there to answer any questions you may have!! There will be pizza and childcare provided for those who need it. We will also be discussing our updated Bylaws, which will be posted online for review.

Canned Food Drive
The canned food drive begins November 1st and will end on November 17, 2023. These cans provide needed food for families in our school and community during the holidays. Letβs all help take care of others by providing food to families who need our support. Please bring in Thanksgiving non-perishable foods starting November 1st. Other food items always needed are corn, green beans, peas, baked beans, fruit, soup, peanut butter, jelly, tuna, chicken, ravioli, beef stew, chili, pineapple, pasta, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, hamburger and tuna helper, and cereal.
