SMMS Principal's Weekly Update

PUSD schools are currently scheduled to remain open for instruction tomorrow. Please stay tuned for additional communications this evening or early morning, as PUSD works with the cities of Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre in response to the storm conditions.

Monday, February 5

This Monday afternoon, our Service Club will be meeting in the Library at 1:40pm. Due to size limitations, meetings are open to 6th graders only, but students in all grade levels can take part in the service opportunities provided through our club.

Tuesday, February 6

Tuesday & Thursday, February 6 & 8

This Tuesday and Thursday evening at 5:45pm, our JV and Varsity Basketball Teams will be competing against Eliot in our own gymnasium.

Wednesday, February 7

This Wednesday night at 6:00pm our School Site Council will be meeting virtually at the link below. All of our SSC meetings are open to the public.

Monday, February 12

There will be no school next Monday in honor of Lincoln's Birthday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 13

Fellow Hawks, the library has reported an increase in the number of damaged chromebooks being reported. This is a reminder that chromebooks are on loan to students for their studies here at Sierra Madre Middle School. Please take the utmost care of them. Per the student acceptable use policy, students could lose the privilege of taking the device home and or be charged fines/fees. The replacement cost of a device could be as much as $758.00.
