Young Men and Women In Charge Information
I am sharing with you the flyer for the YMWIC Pre-College Scholarship Program flyer for the 2024-2025 academic year. This program is designed specifically for students in grades 3rd to 12th, offering an invaluable opportunity to prepare them for their future education.
We have also included information about their Pre-Apprenticeship Program, tailored for young adults aged 18-25 with a high school diploma or GED. This program provides a solid foundation for those looking to enter the workforce with practical skills and hands-on experience.
Parent Pick Up and Drop Off
Below you will see the directions on how to drop off students and pick up students from the Intermediate High School. In addition, we have added a short video to assist with this procedure.
This year, all 8th and 9th grade students that are getting dropped off have to enter from Foundry Road (Red Raider Road). You will not be permitted to enter from the front entrance at CASH.
Students can start to enter the building at 7:05 a.m. They can enter at the Main Entrance and Auditorium Entrance. All students must be in First Period by 7:15 a.m.
Students will be dismissed at 2:10 p.m. and they will board their buses. If picking up students , please drive safely.
As always the first two weeks of school there will be timing issues with buses as everything gets situated, please be considerate as we work on getting the students onto the buses as they maybe running a little late. I promise you that it will get quicker as we move forward.

ATTENDANCE
If a student misses 18 days of school and/or 9 days in a semester, and/or misses the same class 18 times, and/or is habitually late to school, he/she will be required to have a School Attendance Improvement Plan (SAIP) meeting. From the meeting, the team will discuss the student’s attendance and make a potential recommendation for retention or being held back.
In order to receive credit, a student must attend 90% of his/her class days.
If a student misses more than 10 lawful or unlawful absences, requires an excuse from a licensed practitioner of the healing arts or medical doctor.
A student can be retained for failing to show academic achievement for promotion.
Retention or being held back shall only be considered for the worst-case scenarios and parents/guardians will be notified and a part of the process.
