Hopkins Middle School Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We need your help!
Managing late passes and early dismissal notes has become a classroom disruption. There are a few things you can do to help out:
If you drive your student to school, please plan to arrive before 7:40. This will give your student enough time to get to their locker and be prepared for the first hour which starts at 7:45.
If you know of an appointment please call or email our secretary, Jennifer Hitchcock, with a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.
Attendance calls to: 269.793.7407
Attendance emails to: jennhitc@hpsvikings.org
After you’ve called in an early dismissal, remind your student to stop by the office before their first hour and pick up their dismissal pass.
Be aware we pass out notes to students at 7:45 AM, during their lunch period, and at 2:00 PM each day. If you need to get an urgent message to your student, please note these times and plan accordingly. Messages are not guaranteed to reach your student after 2:00 PM each day.
Picture Re-Takes
Retake Picture Day is Tuesday, October 18th, at 7:45 AM in the cafeteria. If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.

For those students who would like to get their picture retaken and bought a package, they MUST bring their package down to the cameras for an even exchange, as pictures will not be reprinted unless those are returned.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 70747XF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.
