December is Almost Here!
This past month has flown by! We hope you are staying safe and warm this season. This past month was a very busy time for us! We hosted STEM Rocket Camp, helped others during our Community Day, opened our GESA Branch, and finally had a blast at our 1st Annual SVT Gobble Games just before Thanksgiving break!
Our third and final progress report of first semester will be posted December 12th. Please check PowerSchool and encourage your student to speak with their teachers about any questions or concerns for their grades. This is a great time to get caught up before Winter Break. Homework Help is now offered every Monday and Wednesday from 2-3 PM at SVT, sponsored by our National Honor Society.
I do hope you have a wonderful holiday season. It is an honor to serve SVT and I am feeling very thankful and blessed this year. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to me at tcampbell@cvsd.org or 509-558-6507.
Sincerely,
Tricia Campbell, Interim Principal @ SVT

State Test Scores

SVT Rocket Camp
Our students got to take part in leading Rocket Camp this past month! We had 130 students join us to learn about the design process and building a rocket. This was a great experience for our students as well, as they got to grow their leadership experience and share their STEM passion with younger students!
Gobble Games 2023
During our half day before Thanksgiving Break, students from each class competed against one another in the Gobble Games! The teams gave it their all with lots of creativity and energy! Of course, we had to bring in our fabulous panel of judges who decided that the SENIORS were our winners this year!

Be ready for Snow Closures or 2-Hour Delays
If no alerts are posted on our district website, or notifications are sent directly to parents/guardians/staff through our messaging system, please assume that school will proceed as normal. As always, if your student is unable to get to school safely on time, please call your school's attendance line to provide an excused absence. When school is on a delay, breakfast will not be served that day due to quick turnaround for lunch being served within an hour.
STEM Academy Homework Help
For any students needing extra help on their homework, the National Honor Society is hosting an after school homework help. Starting November 27th, students can meet in Room 10 on Mondays and Wednesdays for help between 2-3pm.
STCU is Now Offering FASFA Assistance
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is used to apply for financial aid for vocational training, an apprenticeship program, and 2-year, 4-year or post-graduate degrees. Like a lot of federal forms, it’s a bit of a lift, but it unlocks opportunities for scholarships, grants, work-study programs, student loans and more. Details can be found at https://stcu.org/learn/students-and-families/federal-student-aid
SVT Student Clubs
SVT club schedule listed below. We encourage all students to be a part of a club! After school clubs meet from 2-3 PM.
