We will conduct MAP testing on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 21 and 22. The testing bell schedule is below.

Don't forget...Sycamore Singing Company auditions are coming up next week! If your child is interested in auditioning for this award-winning group, they should stay after school on Monday, September 20 to attend an informational clinic from 3:15 to 4:30 PM in the Choir Room (105). Auditions will be on Thursday or Friday after school, we will find a time slot that works for you! If there is a conflict with the clinic on Monday, please reach out to Mr. Callahan at callahanj@sycamoreschools.org. You can still audition! We hope to see your child at the clinic!

There is one more Thursday for your young man to join this award-winning team. The final enrollment date for Boy Choir is Thursday, September 23rd. Boy Choir begins at 7:15 a.m. and students should be dropped off at Door #2 at the front of the building.

Is your child interested in joining the 2021-22 Sycamore Jr. High Swimming & Diving Team?

If so, there will be a short informational meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 3:15p in the cafeteria. This meeting will only last 30 minutes. Our season begins the week of November 1! Practices are at Sycamore High School.

Parents/Guardians please check with your children each morning to make sure they feel well.

The Sycamore Community School District is currently looking for registered nurses who would like to be employed as substitute nurses. Applicants must have current nursing experience, preferably with children, special needs, diabetes and an active nursing license.

The PTOs of Sycamore Community Schools are hosting a forum for candidates for the Board of Education on Wednesday, September 29 at 7pm at Maple Dale Elementary School. We want your input on the questions to ask the candidates. Please share your questions here. There will be a limited number of tickets available to attend in person. VOLUNTEER

JUNIOR HIGH AMBASSADORS - We are in the process bringing more of the Ambassador program from other Sycamore Schools to the Junior High. Ambassadors work with all families new to the Junior High and especially families from diverse backgrounds and cultures or who speak English as a second language. In addition to programs that might be started this year, the team will be working toward hosting our first Cultural Heritage Night in the winter of 2023.
