Congratulations Grace Lipscomb! All-State Jazz Band Member!

Grace Lipscomb was chosen by competitive audition to be first chair in the Texas All-State Jazz Band! She went through multiple rounds of auditions, leading up to the final round where she won and ranked first place! This a huge accomplishment and honor! Congratulations, Grace!

Countdown to Winter Break Dress Up Days!

MISD Semester Exam Schedule

To see the MISD semester exam schedule, click HERE. This schedule includes MHS (home campus), Ben Barber, and TCC dual credit. All semester exams (except for TCC classes) will be held on December 15 (A-day) and December 19 (B-day).

Semester Exam Exemption Information

Fall semester exam exemptions are nearly here! We will be sending out an email Wednesday morning to students with exemption information, instructions, and the link to request exemptions. Be watching for that email!

For now, we want to share some information in preparation.

You must be logged into your MISD account to view the flyer AND to request exemptions
Check with your teacher BEFORE submitting your exemptions to ensure you are eligible. Changes or modifications after submitting requests will NOT be permitted
You will receive an email after you submit your request. Be sure that you receive it. If you do not, we may not have received your request. Try to submit again. If you are unable to submit again, you will need to see Mrs. Griffin in Ms. Miller’s office.
Absences and discipline will continue to count towards exemptions until the day your final exam. You can still lose your exemptions after submitting a request.

Want to Play Football for MHS? Here's What You Need to Do!

Anyone not currently IN football, but wanting to discuss joining the program must contact Coach George via email, phone call, or visit at his office during advisory, BEFORE the Christmas Break. In order to be in football, you must go through off-season starting in January, and meet certain criteria. For more information, contact Coach George (gregorygeorge@misdmail.org) 682-314-0231.

Seniors: Are You Interested in Engineering or Computer Science? This is for You!

Amazon is offering an internship and scholarship for those interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science. Anyone interested can get more information by clicking HERE. Applications are now open and are due on December 15th.
