Message from Mrs. Hawkins
Lincoln Families and Friends,
As we approach the festive month of December, we have some important updates and announcements to share with you.
Changes in the Office Staff:
After 16 years of dedicated service to Lincoln School, Mrs. Klecker will be leaving our office for another opportunity. We extend our deepest gratitude to her for her commitment to our students, staff, and families. Mrs. Klecker has been an integral part of our school community, and her warm presence will be greatly missed.
On a positive note, we are pleased to announce that Mrs. Raichle will be taking on the lead secretary position in the school office. Her wealth of experience and familiarity with our school community make her an excellent fit for this role. Joining her as the newest member of our office team is Mrs. Stenzl, who we are confident will provide valuable support to our school community.
Please join us in thanking Mrs. Klecker for her years of service and welcoming Mrs. Raichle and Mrs. Stenzl to their new roles.
Upcoming Events:
Music Concert: Don't miss our upcoming music concert on Tuesday, November 28th, at the new Owatonna High School. It promises to be an evening filled with delightful performances showcasing the talents of our 4th and 5th grade students.
Drop-off Reminder:
A friendly reminder regarding student drop-offs in the school parking lot. To ensure the safety and efficiency of the drop-off process, please refrain from waiting in your vehicle in the drop-off lane. Keeping the traffic moving helps create a smoother and safer experience for everyone involved. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
As we head into the holiday season, I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the wonderful Lincoln Elementary School community. I wish you all a joyous and peaceful December, filled with moments of warmth and connection.
Mary Hawkins, Lincoln School Principal

Parents choose to receive notifications via text message, phone call, email, and/or parent portal inbox messages. To help us contact households efficiently, be sure to update home, work and/or cellphone information in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, and verify the appropriate boxes are checked to receive notifications.
Other ways to stay informed:

- Check local TV stations: KSTP-5, KMSP FOX 9, KARE 11, WCCO, KEYC TV, KTTC, KAAL

The first two inclement weather/emergency days in the Owatonna Public Schools are considered non-attendance days for students. In the event OPS has more than two inclement weather/emergency days, students will follow the E-Learning Plan.

Colder Weather
As the weather starts to get colder, please remember to have students dress accordingly. Despite the colder temps, many of our classes will continue to go outside during the cold weather months for various activities. Please be sure to put your child's name in all of their personal belongings. If something is left behind, it makes it much easier to return the item to the student when the name their is a name on it.

If you are planning to visit Lincoln, please remember that we require all visitors to check in at the office. Please bring your driver's license and we will get you checked in. Once you leave, please remember to return your visitor badge to the office so we remove you from our visitors system.
