Principal's Message
Greetings Springwater Students and Families,
We just wrapped up an amazing week of 8th grade visits! Kudos to World Music students who provided concerts to all of the schools and to our student ambassadors who welcomed our 8th graders, facilitated reflective discussions about high school and Springwater, and provided tours of our school community. It is not always easy to step into the spotlight: whether it be a music performance or leading groups of 8th graders through activities and tours. I am extremely proud of our students!
We are actively gathering parent feedback about Springwater! Thank you to those who have already completed the survey. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to complete the brief questionnaire. We value your thoughts and ideas!
Our first school dance of the year is coming up next Friday! Actually, it is the first school dance in about 2 years!!! To ensure safety while maximizing fun, the dancing will be outside with games and activities happening inside in our Commons. To say that students are excited is an understatement: they are ecstatic to reclaim some of the fun that has been lost due to COVID!
We continue to offer after school support M-Th from 2:30 - 3:30. We have enjoyed seeing more students taking advantage of this support during 2nd semester. Enjoy the 3-day weekend!
Take care,
Ryan Blaszak

February Spotlight Students
Adley Smith
Grade: 9
Interests: I really like to read and write and work with computers. My favorite genre to read is Science Fiction.
Favorite subject in school: Probably English. I like the reading and writing part of it.
Favorite thing about STHS: How small it is. I’ve always been going to small schools, so I feel a lot more comfortable in them.
Katelyn McMurry
Grade: 10
Interests: I like music. I like writing music. I like making music. I draw a lot, as well.
Favorite subject in school: Probably printmaking/studio arts. It’s an escape for me. I struggle with expressing myself, so it’s easier for me to draw what I’m feeling and then let people interpret it as they want to. I like Ramsey’s class too, but it’s more because of the teacher and not the subject.
Favorite thing about STHS: I like the community. Everybody here is really nice. It’s not, necessarily, 100% judgment-free zone, but for the most part, it’s a nice environment.
Myles Gonzalez
Grade: 11
Interests: Art and reading. They’re fun.
Favorite subject in school: English. I like reading and writing. Anything fiction. Nonfiction is boring.
Favorite thing about STHS: The staff. Most of them are really nice and helpful.
