Don't forget to join us for Meet The Teacher Night tomorrow (Tuesday August 15th) from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM. This event is for students in grades 1st-6th Grade. You are welcome to do the following:

• Tour the Building
• Drop off School Supplies
• Meet Your Teacher
• Find Your Locker

As a reminder, Prek, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students will meet their teacher at their designated time on Thursday 8/17 or Friday 8/18. PreK, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten staff will not be available at Meet The Teacher Night on August 15th.

The First Day of School is fast approaching. Here is a few important bits of information to make the day a success:

• First Day of Attendance for students in grades 1st-6th is August 17th
• PreK, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten will have Meet The Teacher Meetings on August 17th and August 18th. Their first day of attendance is Monday August 21st
• The School Day runs from 8:08-3:05. Please do not drop off your child before 7:45 as that is the time our staff will be available for supervision.
• AM PreK meets from 8:30-11:00 AM, PM PreK meets from 12:35-3:05. Junior Kindergarten meets from 8:08-12:45
• Please communicate with your child's teacher how your child will be going home each day (Bus, Front Door Walker, or Back Door Walker). Any changes in transportation need to be communicated to the OES Office by 2:30 each day so we can notify all staff.
• Please be patient with the arrival and dismissal procedures at the beginning of the year. They will likely take a few minutes longer than normal, but it is our priority to ensure all students arrive and depart safely.
• Every Wednesday is a 2:00 Dismissal for students in Grades K-12th. AM PreK will meet from 8:30-10:30, PM from 12:00-2:00 PM. Junior Kindergarten will dismiss as normal at 12:45.

Attendance at school each day is critical to your child's success this year. In the event your child will be absent, please call our attendance line at 815-732-5300 ext 2900 before 8:15 AM to report an absence.

Fall Picture day will be Tuesday August 22nd for all students. Order forms will be available to take home at your Meet The Teacher Night Event. The Make Up date is October 5th. We will be using a new photography company this year- HR Imaging.

Please do not drop your child off to school before 7:45 each morning. Students will line up by homeroom in their designated areas on the Jefferson or Etnyre blacktops. Family members are welcome to walk with their child to the appropriate blacktop, but we do ask that once your child is in line, you say your goodbyes and allow them to join the rest of their class. We will have 2 supervisors with each grade level ensuring that everybody is where they need to be. Our teachers will begin to take students inside starting at 8:00 AM.

Friday August 25th- Hat Day (Wear a Hat to School all Day. $1 donation to our PBIS/Student Incentives)

Monday September 4th- NO SCHOOL Labor Day Holiday

Friday September 15th- Day of Awesomeness Fundraiser Wrap Up
