🎯 Grizzly Growth Goals
Students worked with their Math, English, and Science teachers to set MAP MOY Growth Goals. When students completed each MAP test, their RIT Score popped up on their screen. They also were given this pictured post-it (similar to inset)- which we called the "Grizzly Growth Goal" to see if they met their growth-goal. (Pt Diff = point differential between BOY & MOY) This school year- as a campus- we are working on using data to inform our practice and this includes helping students set personal goals for themselves in each of these content areas. Praise your student if they achieved their Growth Goal- we want to praise the work it takes to improve from BOY to MOY to EOY. If a student reaches one year's worth of growth- we have reached our goal. If they reach two-year's goal- they've surpassed it! It would truly support the language and efforts we are using at school if you were to reinforce it at home.
Below you'll see a Family Guide to Map Growth document. This will help you have these conversations with your student.
