Deb Milne
My name is Deborah Milne. My son is in fifth grade at Manatee. Since he was in Kindergarten I have volunteered in the classroom, been the Class Mom, served on the SAC committee for the last 3 years, and served on the Manatee PTO Board for the last 4 years.
Before moving to Viera I worked fulltime for a Credit Union. In my 20 years at the Credit Union I worked in several departments from Customer Service, Loan officer, Residential and Commercial Mortgages.
I love Manatee and the Manatee community and want to help in any way I can.
Travia Williams
I am including a short biographical sketch for consideration to serve on Manatee Elementary School Advisory Committee. I was born and raised in Brevard County. I attended Golfview Elementary, Kennedy Middle School and graduated from Rockledge High School. I am remarkably familiar with the area, the community, and available resources. My son is in the 4th grade currently and started at Manatee in Kindergarten. I have served as a Room Parent from Kindergarten- 4th grade. I have been involved in the PTO at Manatee. For approximately 5 years, I served on the Brevard Public School’s School Health Advisory Committee. Additionally, for about 5 years I was a board member for the Brevard Early Learning Coalition. It is awesome and energizing to be a part of any committee because it affords you the opportunity to work and collaborate with others on approaches to achieve goals. You also learn and grow from hearing another person’s perspectives and thought processes that may not always mirror yours. Thank you for allowing me to share this bio. Please let me know if you have any questions or require additional information.
Jenny Smith
My name is Jenny Smith and I have three children attending Manatee Elementary. They are in the second, fourth, and fifth grade. I am an active volunteer at the school and currently serve as Vice President of the PTO. Prior to raising our kids I worked as a teacher, as well as for a children’s non-profit, and also in public policy. My past work experience as well as my current participation at the school make me well suited to assist in developing Manatee’s mission. Furthermore, my experiences will benefit the Advisory Council in regards to determining and prioritizing the needs of the school.
