Principal's Message π€
We have two more weeks before winter break! These next two weeks, all students will be taking their mid-year assessments to monitor the reading and math growth they've made over the school year.
Attendance is also something to pay close attention to during December. Sicknesses run rampant this time of year, so please be sure that all students are sent to school wearing the appropriate clothing. Hats, gloves, and coats are necessities - we wait outside in the morning and afternoon and go out for recess as long as the temperature feels above 20 degrees.
Q2 Progress Reports have been sent home. Be on the look out for this important communication that will outline your child's progress thus far throughout the quarter. Now is the time to review any missing assignments and make sure that your child is on track for scholarly success! If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.
Also, it is imperative that all families complete the Infinite Campus Annual Update. Families MUST complete the Annual Update in order to have their children attend after school enrichments or school field trips. CLICK HERE to view the letter to families who have no completed the Annual Update yet - it includes a QR code that will direct you to the page to complete the Annual Update.
Have a great week and ALWAYS REMEMBER TO SHOW YOUR NOBLE PRIDE π―

Attendance Update π
We continue to aspire to meet a 95% Attendance Rate here at Noble Elementary. We're currently at a 93.2% attendance rate thus far throughout the school year. We need to work hard to make sure that our scholars are here at school each day to ensure they are learning. #NOBLESHOWSUP
Students in Grades 3-5 who maintain a 95% attendance rate or above during Quarter 2 will have the opportunity to participate in a movie and special treat party in mid-January 2024!
Gifted Rule Update at Ohio Department of Education
Gifted Rule Update
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has announced the gifted rule is open for comment until December 22nd. To clarify: these comments should be based on the rule that is posted at this website: https://education.ohio.gov/About/Ohio-Administrative-Code-OAC-Rule-Comments#OAC%203301-51-15%20Operating%20standards%20for%20identifying%20and%20serving%20students%20who%20are%20gifted.
While the document indicates it is a βdraft,β this document is the current rule. There was a draft that had been given to the ODE and stakeholder feedback had been provided, however, the gifted rule process has now started over. That draft is no longer being considered.
