Ground Education
We are in the planning phase of a partnership with Ground Education, a non-profit organization that provides services to 23 schools in LBUSD such as lesson development, materials planning and garden maintenance. The Powell garden has a rich history and this partnership will help us implement a schoolwide garden program that is culturally responsive, nurtures self-care, builds community and teaches about sustainability and plant growth. In semester 2, we will invite all interested community members to participate in the planning for implementation.
