Volume 4 Issue 23
A big congratulations to Mrs. Dove as she was named Tustin Connects Teacher of the Year. We are so excited to recognize and celebrate Mrs. Dove. In addition to celebrating Mrs. Dove, we had a great Principal Coffee this Thursday on Executive Functioning and strategies for students and families at home and the things we are doing at school as well. Check out more information in the Counselor Corner below.
This week's background features photos from the surprise announcement of Mrs. Dove as TC's Teacher of the Year. Her 2 children, husband, mom, many of the teachers and staff, and the students all joined in the celebration. Check out the link below for the K-2 students band serenation of Mrs. Dove.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please reach out to Mr. Fineberg, our principal, at efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

Principal's Message...
Wow, it was another busy week at Tustin Connect. The Fentanyl presentation on Monday, Principal/ Counselor Coffee on Thursday, and Teacher of the Year announcement on Friday. What a week of important and good stuff. This coming week is Counselor Week. We plan on celebrating the amazing Mrs. Wijnhamer (AKA Mrs. W) throughout the week. You can help us by participating in one of the events.
- Wednesday: Come to the office and help with the poster we will be using to decorate her office
- Thursday: Bring a flower from your garden
- Friday: Bring a card
If you'd like to drop anything off for Mrs. Wijnhamer, feel free and we will hold it for her.
I wanted to thank Sargeant Gunsolley from the OCSD for his Fentanyl presentation on Monday for our 7-12 grade students. He shared some important information that we all need to be aware of regarding the dangers of Fentanyl and what precautions students can take to prevent accidental exposure. For any students that missed the presentation, please use this link to watch it. You'll need this passcode to access the link: Passcode: $%?A5meZ
If you weren't able to make the Principal/Counselor Coffee, check out some of the resources and be sure to stop by next month.
As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.
