The Central Bucks Laptop fee is now past due. If not paid by 10/30, the laptop will remain at school for the students to have access to during the school day, only.
Parents of students in 3rd - 6th grade are asked to pay a $15 fee via MyPaymentsPlus. If you cannot afford the fee for personal reasons, please contact Mr. Ortman at sortman@cbsd.org. We will be happy to make other arrangements.

EARLY PICK UP OR AFTER SCHOOL APPOINTMENTS
If you would like to pick up your son/daughter early for an appointment, please pick up your child before 2:45PM. After 2:45PM, your child will be asked to wait with the other walkers, bus and car riders in his/her classroom, to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for everyone.
Thank you!
HALLOWEEN PARADE ROUTE
The Halloween parade will be on Tuesday, October 31st at 9:00AM. Parking will be limited. If possible, please consider carpooling. (Rain date: Wednesday, Nov. 1st. If the parade is postponed, the decision will be made by 4:00PM on Monday and communicated via email.)
Students will walk out of the front of the building (near the flagpole) and parade on our sidewalk around the school. After reaching Burnt House Hill Road, they will turn and walk to the back playground and re-enter the building by the gymnasium. NOTE: We will walk the parade route twice.
Kindergarten students will lead the parade, followed consecutively by the other grades.
Students are welcome to wear their costumes to school. Please have your child bring their masks and/or accessories to school in a bag with your child's name on the bag. Please use your best judgement in costume selection. Costumes of a violent nature are discouraged. There should be no weapons of any kind brought to school on Halloween.
KINDERGARTEN PARADE PLANS
October 31st is a half-day of school. PM kindergarten attends.
All AM Kindergarten students are invited to participate in the outdoor parade. Please bring your child to the entrance under the large Gayman Elementary School sign, in front of the school, by 8:45AM. Mrs. Feher will bring the AM class to Mrs. Menard's room where they will lead the parade. Please pick up your child after the parade at the drop-off location.
HALLOWEEN PARTIES
Parents who are volunteering should enter through the doors under the Gayman Elementary School sign. You will check in with a staff member. We have our party volunteer list and will already have your visitor badges ready when you arrive. Only party volunteers will be allowed into the building. We appreciate your help in providing a SAFE and enjoyable experience for the entire Gayman community.
If you are assisting with the classroom party at the end of the school day and choose to take your child home with you at dismissal, we ask that you sign them out in their classroom with their homeroom teacher.
VOLUNTEERING INFORMATION
To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. For more information, consult the Human Resources Volunteer Required Paperwork webpage.

FREE & REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATION
Families can access the online application for Free & Reduced Meals by clicking here. The application must be submitted each year. If your child received free or reduced lunch last year, you must re-apply for the 23-24 school year.
VETERAN GUEST SPEAKERS: NOV. 10TH
To mark this special day, we are hosting "Veteran Class Speakers". Any veteran, or someone currently serving in the military, is invited to speak to a class. The time of the presentation will be determined by the teacher and speaker.
A 20-minute presentation would include:
- A description of your military job/responsibilities
- A favorite memory from your service
- Questions from the students
Our hope is for every class to have a speaker, please let us know if you are able to do more than one presentation. NOTE: While we will make every effort to match you with your child's (grandchild's) class, you may be speaking to a different class.
Email Jennifer Costello at jcostello@cbsd.org, if you are interested before November 3rd.
To all of our veterans - thank you for your service!
GHSA FAMILY DUES EXTENDED
We have extended the due date for family dues until October 27th. At this time we have received about half of our budgeted amount for the year so we have extended the deadline to October 27th.
We are suggesting $30 per family. You can venmo @Gayman-HomeandSchool or send a check in made payable to GHSA!
These funds help cover the cost of all the GHSA events and programs! Our next BIG event is the FALL FAMILY FEST and these donations will be used to host this event. And these donations are used for so many other fun things for all kids; Bingo, Dance, Library Technology, Author's Day, Assemblies, and so much more!
FALL FESTIVAL
We look forward to seeing all of the families who RSVP'd for this event on Friday, October 27th from 5pm-7pm. Get ready for some fall fun, and some amazing raffle baskets and silent auction items! Remember to bring cash or have venmo for raffle basket tickets!
- We still need some more volunteers. CLICK HERE to volunteer.
All donations should be dropped off by Wednesday, October 25th in the office vestibule please!
SILENT AUCTION AT THE FALL FEST
