Is Your Child Going Into First Grade?

A Virtual Meeting for Parents who have children entering First Grade in September

We will be hosting a Zoom meeting to discuss the transition from Kindergarten to First Grade. Parents are welcome to join the meeting via Zoom, but it will also be recorded and sent out afterward as well. It is truly miraculous that students now have instant access to any information they desire to learn. However, we cannot overlook the negative effects that come with this advancement.

For instance, teenagers who spend more than seven hours daily on screens, which is below average, are twice as likely to develop depression or anxiety than those who spend just an hour. Additionally, research indicates that excessive screen time, especially when consuming passive media, can lead to weaker academic performance.

Summer Math & ELA Assignments Online

This Summer students will be able to do their Math and ELA work online. IXL is a wonderful online program that was purchased for our students using Covid funding. This summer the program will help you and your child actually track their progress. I have attached a video and a flyer for you to read.
