Special Note from Coach Leslie
I talk to so many swimmers from around the U.S. and even have friends in places like Budapest and Guatemala that let me know they have swimming restrictions. Some pools are not open at all, only one per lane, difficulty making lane appointments, no coaches on deck and more. It reminds me to be grateful to be able to swim.
Let your coaches know your goals or plans for the new year. We are here to help! If you are new, please take a selfie at the pool and send to me for the next newsletter.
Please continue to thank our team sponsors by buying their products! Come visit Alpine Ski to pick up a Dolfin swim suit and / or swim equipment. During the winter months, swim supplies are in the back of the shop, just ask.
During these difficult times of the pandemic we want you to know that Greenville Splash is your extended family. Please reach out to your teammates and coaches if you need anything. We care about you! Keep coming to swim to help with fitness, anxiety and mental health.
Send us pictures, stories or tips for our next newsletter. Feel free to email Coach Leslie at greenvillesplash@gmail.com or give me a call if you need any help with anything: 864-283-1328.

Splashing Accomplishments
We wanted to give Deidre Decker a huge shout out for helping to get the vaccine out! A few of our swimmers were anxious to get their 70+ first dose of the Covid vaccine and luckily they ran into Deidre. She helped them navigate where to go, what to do how to beat the crowds. Our swimmers were so very thankful that they basically sailed through the process. Deidre is working incredibly hard on-site at the main Prisma vaccine site in the large former K-Mart location less than a mile from the main Prisma Hospital. Dee has been incredibly helpful and she gave information about getting the second dose to our swimmers. Once she reports to duty everyday, she is on her feet for 8 straight hours with one bathroom break.

Make a Difference
Thank you so much to all of our swimmers that volunteer for Greenville Splash! Your efforts help to make our community safer in the water and provide fitness and competition activities for swimmers. We host three big events every year: The South Carolina LCM State Championships, The Upstate Splash Charity Open Water Swim, and Adult Learn to Swim. We have taught over 250 adults how to swim! The Upstate Splash has raised money to provide swim lessons for over 3,000 children! We are proud to be a team that gives back to our community!
