"EXPECT EXCELLENCE IN EVERYTHING"
November 17, 2023
A Message from your Admin Team
1. Thank you for another wonderful week here at Woodward Mill Elementary School.
2. Thank you for your patience and flexibility during the Boosterthon Glow Party! I appreciate all of your positive feedback and comments. I would like to explain the reasoning behind moving the event inside and changing the schedule:
- The Boosterthon team was here at 5:30AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, setting up on the playground. It began to rain, and we were afraid the track would be wet, and students scheduled for the morning might not have a safe and enjoyable experience. Also, many of the forecasts that we consulted called for a chance of rain throughout the day. It takes a couple of hours to set the event up (outside or inside) so we wanted to be fair to all students.
- Being inside required a schedule change due to the following:
- The original schedule called for two grade levels to be outside at the same time on two separate tracks.
- For safety reasons, the schedule was changed because the gym is not an ample space to have two classes running simultaneously. Feedback from last year suggested one grade level at a time.
3. Thanks to our PTA for working so hard to put on such a special event to help fundraise. Boosterthon said that PTA almost met their goal. Collections are still open, so they might reach it!
4. Please let Jenniffer Berruecos (jennifferptavp@gmail.com) know if you are interested in serving on any of the upcoming event committees. It helps us to make the events special for our Cubs! The more hands on deck the better.
5. Please have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! You deserve it!
