Madison Mustang Weekly Update

Hello Mustang families,

With 11 and 1/2 days of school left, this week's newsletter is full of activities and important reminders. We’re celebrating Olympic Spirit Week, so encourage your students to join in the themed fun and show their school spirit! This Thursday, our 8th graders will enjoy their much-anticipated trip to Knott’s Berry Farm, and we’re also looking forward to the 8th Grade Dance later this week. We are wrapping up make-up state testing, and I’m proud of how seriously our students have taken the process—great job to all! Don’t forget to check out the link below to our student-produced MBC news show; they've done a great job all year bringing announcements and fun videos to our school community. Please note that next Monday is Memorial Day, and school will be closed in observance of the holiday. On Tuesday, April 8, parents met in the library and on Zoom to learn about the new VUSD graduation requirements and the personalized learning plan all 8th graders have started known as My Plan. Below is a recording of the entire meeting, and there is a screen case with a more concise presentation of the information without the questions and answers session.
