GETTING TO KNOW OUR ACTON OHANA
Meet our 5th Grade Team
Mrs. Leal:
Mrs. Leal wants people to know that children are important! Teaching makes her happy to do something that can have such an impact on another person's life. She’s worked at 9 schools in her teaching career and she says “Acton is definitely my favorite!” She also teach English online to adorable kids in China with a company called VIPKID. She does this either early in the morning or late at night.
Her and her husband have 5 boys and only one girl. Their dog, Charlie, is the cutest little pup (2 years old), but he is nearly completely blind :(
Mrs. Scott:
Mrs. Scott grew up in Franklin Township and everyone in her family has gone through FT schools, her parents, sibling and even her husband. She is a proud FC grad! She has two dogs who are like tiny humans. She loves crafting and even has her own Etsy Shop called, VIolets are Blue Crafts. Mrs. Scott is a new mommy to her beautiful baby girl Violet. Mrs. Scott says she has always wanted to be a teacher. When she was little she would play school with her siblings and boss them around for hours. Her favorite subject to teach is math.
Ms. Neifert
Ms.Neifert has been teaching fifth grade for five years. It is the only grade she has taught. She loves to show kids that they are all so special in their own way and can make an impact/ do great feats just being themselves. She says she has always wanted to be a teacher and show kids that she understood what was so special about them (and it wasn't always that they could solve the right math problem).
Fun Facts: Her family lives in 12 different states. She is such a blanket person that I have one blanket for every place to sit in our house. She loves to be cozy under a warm blanket with her journal or coloring page!

- If there is a change in transportation for students at the end of the day, we must be notified by a Parent/Guardian before 3:00pm.
- If electronics (cell phones, ipods, gaming systems) are brought into school and removed from backpacks, they will be confiscated by the teacher. A parent/guardian will be asked to pick up the electronic at the front desk.
