Work Based Learning Courses
Grand Forks Public Schools has added work-based learning courses for the 2023-2024 school year.
An exciting new opportunity will be available to students this coming summer and fall. Work-based
learning courses will allow qualified students to work for a local business and get high school credit at the same time.
One step in preparing students for this opportunity is the completion of a Compass Profile. When filling out the Compass Profile, students enter the courses they have taken during high school, their hobbies and interests, and they complete a personality profile. This data is used to determine what career paths might be a good fit for their skill set.
If your child has filled out the Compass Profile you may have received an email from Golden Path
Solutions asking for permission to view student data in order to match your child with a job opportunity. Please note that granting this permission is not a requirement for participation in work-based learning opportunities or courses.
If you are interested in learning more about these courses you can check out the video here:
If you have any other follow up questions or concerns you can contact Paul Zettler the Grand Forks Public Schools Work-Based Learning Coordinator - pzettler270@mygschools.org
