Principal's Letter
Dear Lions,
The month of October was an exciting month! St. Helen’s 4th grade class visited the Big Fresno Fair and learned all about Fresno’s agriculture. Our kindergarten-2nd graders took a field trip to the pumpkin patch where they learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin. Thank you to those volunteers who assisted during these field trips to make sure our students had a safe and fun experience.
Students have been enjoying participating in Penny Wars. Penny Wars has been a great way to demonstrate teamwork and friendly competition. Penny Wars will continue through the middle of December where the Grand Prize Winners will receive a carnival day!
Red Ribbon Week was this month! All students learned about what it means to be drug free. Thank you to student council for providing great dress up days and for putting on a great rally for our students! Thank you to the ACT team that came out to help spread the message that being drug free is the way to be!
October we also recognized those students who showed great compassion to others during our virtue awards. Congratulations to those recipients who continually show great compassion for others.
Our sports teams worked hard this season in boys flag football and girls volleyball. Girls volleyball took home 2nd place in the gold division! Congratulations volleyball! Cheer has begun and had their first practice this month! We look forward to seeing them cheer on our teams in the upcoming season.
St. Helen’s had a variety of adorable animals on campus for the Blessing of the Animals on October 19th. Thank you to Father Walter for blessing all of God’s creatures.
St. Helen’s would like to send a special thank you to PTO for all their hard work in putting together an amazing Fall Festival this year! Thank you to all the families who came out to the event and support St. Helen’s School. We also want to say thank you to all the volunteers who spent their Sunday afternoon helping to make sure all our students and families were having an enjoyable time. We appreciate all the sponsors who donated to our Fall Festival. St. Helen’s sends a special thank you to all those who helped put on this event and we hope to make the next festival just as enjoyable.
Respectfully,
Kristi MacIsaac
