This holiday season, I wish you all the things that bring you peace and joy. While on winter break, be sure to take some time to relax, celebrate with family, and enjoy creating memories with your loved ones.
I am proud of our collective and collaborative accomplishments this past year, and I thank you for choosing the School District of Beloit for your child(ren)’s education. Together, we can continue to achieve the best for your family and child(ren). As the new year begins, we will remain committed to providing your child(ren) with engaging, nurturing, and supportive learning environments in our schools and classrooms.
From the School District of Beloit family to yours, we wish you a winter break filled with cheer and goodwill. We look forward to seeing our students return to our schools and classrooms on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
In service,
Dr. Willie E. Garrison II
School District of Beloit Superintendent
Thank you for providing feedback on my newsletter!
I appreciated the time many of you took to provide feedback on my bi-monthly newsletters. In a random drawing of everyone who participated, two lucky winners were selected to receive a School District of Beloit swag bag. Congratulations to Kris Jacobsen and Celestino Ruffini. Please reach out to marketing1@sdb.k12.wi.us to claim your prize! #OneBeloit
Community-Wide Referendum Survey
Our community-wide survey was mailed the last week in November to all households within the School District of Beloit. This survey will explain our budget situation, gather your feedback, and address other district needs. Your feedback is important to us; we encourage everyone to participate in our survey. If you have any questions please reach out to your child's principal.
Community Referendum Listening Sessions
We continue to host our community referendum listening sessions. Thank you to everyone who participated in our last three sessions.
Please join us at one of our upcoming sessions on December 18 virtually or January 9 at the Beloit Public Library. Both sessions begin at 5:30 pm.
Check out the official Class of 2036 photo!
This awesome moment was captured back in September. We gathered all of our kindergarten students along with their teachers and myself to commemorate the start of our school year.
December All-Stars
The All-Star Award is an opportunity for staff to recognize and thank staff members for their passion, work, and dedication to the students and families in our District. This award is presented quarterly and is especially significant because staff are recognizing each other.
Read all about our December Award Winners - Jamie Cauley, Ellen Elliott, Alexis Haenel, Debora Karpfinger, Cindy Laube, Jennifer Miller, Dustin Smith, Mary Jo Wilson, and Kathleen Woodman.
You can receive up to $30 off your monthly internet bill.
High-speed internet is a necessity – especially for students. That’s why the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law created the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to lower internet costs. Many internet service providers across the country offer high-speed internet plans that are fully covered by ACP – so millions of households can now get high-speed internet.
Community Hub
Our Community Hub highlights lots of family-friendly, fun events and activities happening in our area. Learn about Heroes' Holiday Community Celebration, a Happy Huladays Event,
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Event, and much more.
