Thank you to all the parents who attended the listening sessions and offered your voice in support of our parish and school. The presentation was intended to discuss the possibilities of merging communities, not schools. News on schools is still to come. Regardless of the outcome of All Things New, we should trust God's will is done and that the changes will strengthen our archdiocese. Of course, we all have questions, but there are no answers to many of our questions at this time. For now, we can continue to pray and hope for the future. God is in control.

Safety and Security Update

Since the beginning of school, we have been practicing safety drills. We have had an intruder drill this year and multiple Fire Drills. Today, we had our annual evaluation by the St. Charles Fire Department. Each year they come and monitor a drill and then provide us with a report. I am pleased to say that our students did quite well. The representative from St. Charles Fire District, Deputy Chief Steve Brown, said the students were silent and exited the building quickly and safely. We are grateful to the St. Charles Fire Department for monitoring our drill and keeping us safe.

Blues Spirit Day

Monday, October 17, students can wear their Blues gear in honor of the start of the season. Blues shirts, blue shirts, yellow shirts, or blue and yellow shirts are allowed to be worn with uniform bottoms. Let's Go Blues!

Day of the Dead

Please send a picture of a loved one who passed away. We will be adding the picture to the altar (Día de Los Muertos) outside the Spanish room and praying for them. It can be sent by email to patriciaclassen@borromeoschool.com before Oct 20th.

Safe Touch

Beginning tomorrow and continuing through next week, each grade level (K-8) will be participating in the Archdiocese Safe Touch program to discuss personal safety and boundaries. A letter about the program will be coming home with your students. If you have any questions or concerns about this program, please contact the school.

Lunch Menu Change

Wednesday, October 19 will be dino nuggets, not chicken rings.

Calendar Reminder

October 21 is the day before Fall Break and it is a full day.
