

October Family Update
Note from the Head of School
It's an exciting time at OHDELA!
The end of the first quarter is this week! Students need to have all Quarter 1 work submitted by Friday, Oct. 20 by 11:59pm for that work to count into the Quarter 1 Progress Report grades. Progress Reports will be emailed to the legal guardian's email address on file by Friday, Oct. 27.
This mid-October update includes information about the upcoming Flannel Friday, pictures from OHDELA in the Parks, Stars of the Month, information about the Parent Portal, and OHDELA merch.
We are seeing an improvement in attendance and engagement in live sessions - thank you for all of your engagement to your students to become active owners of their learning.
To our 3rd graders taking their first state test in Reading this week - do your best and show what you know! Thank you 3rd grade families for making arrangements to get your 3rd grader to their testing site.

PowerSchool Parent Portal is Open!
PowerSchool Parent Portal
Although the Canvas login provides updates to grades and assignments, the PowerSchool Parent Portal is the only place that provides access to your students’ attendance and final grades information. Please leverage the attachment below for assistance and reach out to the AMP Support team if additional help is needed.
The Portal will be accessed through Canvas. Log into your Canvas with the Guardian account credentials that were provided to you and follow these steps. Upon login you will see a Guardian Resources card on your Dashboard.
Do you have Contact Information Updates?
In order to maintain open communications with our parents, it is of vital importance that student contact information be updated routinely throughout the school year. Being an online school means that there will be times when we need to send information to our families through various formats. We are also required by the state of Ohio to maintain accurate contact information for our students in order to provide proof of residency.
If your family has moved or has had any changes to your contact information, please take a moment to let us know of those changes by filling out the OHDELA Contact Change Form at the following link:

This form will allow you to update phone numbers, email addresses, and/or your home address. If you are updating a home address, you will be required to upload a verification document before submitting the form.
Once you have submitted your updated contact information, we will be able to get that updated in our files so that there is no delay in communication with you. Thank you so much for all you do to contribute to your student’s success in keeping our records up to date.
