Summer is here! The school year is complete, along with Summer School! I hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and having fun outside. I am enjoying spending time with my family and being at the lake splashing around.

I am busy at the school, getting ready to get all the floors cleaned and shiny for the new school year! We had to move all the furniture and supplies out of the classrooms to complete this project which was overdue. I can not wait for you to see it this fall.

I also have been busy interviewing people for various positions within the school. I would like to welcome Brock Payne as our new maintenance man. He has two daughters who attend Glenn, and his wife also attended Glenn. I would also like to welcome Victoria Willey as a new custodian. She is from Fennville and is excited to get to know the Glenn Community a little better. We are pleased to announce the new 1st/2nd-grade teacher is Ms. Jen Cook. She is coming to us from Hamilton Schools and has three children. We do have positions still available, so please send people to our website for more information. Welcome to our team!

Please remember to have your child read daily for at least 20 minutes. This can be a book, newspaper, magazine, etc. Your local library has an abundance of books to choose from and also a Summer Reading program to join! Remember: Readers are Leaders!

Enjoy the rest of your summer! Save the date: The first day of school is Monday, August 28th!
