Cougar Nation!
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: As we embrace the middle of the school year, we're excited to join the nation in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th to October 15th). This is a special time to honor the rich culture, history, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx individuals and communities. We encourage you to explore and learn more about this diverse and vibrant heritage with your children. Our school will also be hosting events and activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, and we look forward to your participation.
Thank you for being a part of our family. Your partnership is invaluable, and we're excited to continue this journey with you.
-Dr. McCowan
Students MUST have a BADGE!
Student Badges Are NOW Required
Dallas ISD Policy REQUIRES ALL SECONDARY STUDENTS to wear an ID Badge on campus.
Students have taken their badge photo and have been issued their first badge for FREE.
Student ID badges must be visible, with pictures facing forward. Students are not allowed to tamper or alter ID badges or photos. Students who forget their ID badges are required to get a temporary ID sticker for $1.00 before school.
Replacement badges are $5.00. Students may purchase a replacement badge in the front office and deliver the receipt of payment to the library. A student who does not come to school with an ID badge will not be permitted in to class until they have their ID badge.
The ID badge policy is for the safety and security of your children. It is a way to identify who should/should not be on our campus at all times. Please call us if you have any questions or concerns or refer to the DISD Student Code of Conduct.

For the Safety of Our Students---Do Not Park at Family Dollar!
Students will not be allowed to walk across the street to Family Dollar. The store is also asking that we not use their parking lot, as it prevents parking for their customers. Please help us by using Hodde street to pick up students. Even with construction, we are clear after 10 minutes.
