We extend heartfelt congratulations to our STAR student, Cristian Jaramillo, and express deep gratitude to Teresa Brooks for nurturing their talents and aspirations. Your unwavering dedication shines as a guiding light toward greatness, and your achievements inspire future generations.
Here's to a future brimming with boundless possibilities and abundant opportunities for growth and success!
🌟🍎 Supporting Our Community: A Heartfelt Thank You! 🍎🌟
Recently, The Freedom Church of Gwinnett extended a helping hand to our cluster's schools, making a significant and meaningful donation that will positively impact our students.
The Freedom Church of Gwinnett's generous donation will be directed towards paying off our students' lunch debt.
We are deeply thankful to the members of The Freedom Church of Gwinnett for their unwavering dedication to serving our community and for their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. As we celebrate American Heart Month, we want to bring attention to the upcoming Run The Reagan event happening this weekend. This event, organized by our partners at Piedmont Eastside, is an important opportunity to promote heart health within our community.
Some of our students will be volunteering at the first aid tent, providing assistance to participants who may need it during the event. Despite the forecast for cold and rainy weather this Saturday, this is a meaningful chance for us to support our students and our community partner.
You can register for the event using the link provided below. Don't forget to use the code Piedmont5 to save $5 on registration fees.
Let's come together to show our support for heart health and our community at Run The Reagan!

Tips for Staying Fit with a Busy Schedule 🕞
✅Seize the Morning Magic: Mornings may be unpredictable, but they’re often less chaotic than the rest of the day. Own your morning routine by dedicating 20-30 minutes, three days a week, to kickstart your fitness journey. Progress at your own pace and watch those morning victories turn into lasting habits.
✅Active Watching for TV Buffs: Love your TV time? Turn it into an active affair! Spice up your favorite shows with bodyweight exercises like squats, crunches, or push-ups. Try it when commercials come on and even add in weights for an extra challenge.
✅Nutrition: Your Secret Weapon: Don’t let a busy schedule compromise your nutrition. A healthy diet fuels your fitness journey and boosts your immune system.
✅Set the Activity Timer Challenge: Time to drop and give me 20! Find a little office or free space, set that timer, and challenge yourself to a quick burst of exercise at the top of every hour. Imagine doing 15 push-ups each hour from 8 am to 5 pm – that’s 150 push-ups by day’s end!
As you navigate your fitness journey amid life’s hustle, remember consistency is key. These practical tips seamlessly fit into your busy routine, making health a natural part of your lifestyle. Celebrate every step forward, stay motivated, and embrace the positive changes on your path to a healthier you. As always if you need health and wellness advice, we are here for you. Open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm (starting Dec. 4th, 2023 updated hour change of Monday-Friday, 8 am-6 pm until otherwise noted) and on Saturday 9 am-5 pm. Keep moving, and here’s to your continued success!

FAFSA Information
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) is the gateway to getting federal student loans, scholarships, grants, and work-study for school, but there can be so much confusion around it.
The FAFSA® used to be a super long application that took a lot of time and effort—that’s now a thing of the past. The FAFSA® for the 2024-2025 academic year is the new and improved version. Check out the link below to see all the changes!
Tips on how to avoid these common FAFSA® mistakes
Every year, families postpone filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Some skip it entirely because they think it’s a waste of time, the application is too long, or it's only a fast track to federal student loans. However, the FAFSA® package can also include college scholarships, work-study, and grants. Not filling it out—the most costly FAFSA® mistake—can result in losing money that could have helped you pay for college. Don’t be that student, and make sure you avoid these common FAFSA® mistakes by checking out the article link below!
GCPS ParentSquare Resources
GCPS has transitioned from SchoolMessenger to ParentSquare for two-way communication between schools and families, and we encourage all families to download the app and create an account. With its user-friendly interface, ParentSquare offers seamless two-way communication through text, newsletters, posts, emergency alerts, and direct messaging. One of our favorite features is the integrated translation feature, which enables automatic translations for multilingual families.
