December 21, 2023
Hello Barrington Families;
As we get ready for the Holiday break and the New Year, it's the perfect time to pause and appreciate the events and experiences of the past year. The beauty of this season isn't just in the glittering lights and cheerful melodies but in the warmth of gratitude that envelops us.
Let's embrace the simple joys—the laughter shared with friends, the moments of quiet reflection, and the kindness bestowed upon us. Each of these adds richness to our lives.
May this holiday season be a reminder to be thankful for the small things, to cherish the connections that bring us together, and to carry the spirit of gratitude into the days ahead.
Wishing you a season filled with warmth, appreciation, and a heart brimming with gratitude.
For planning purposes: At the December 19, 2023 School Board meeting the following 2023-24 School Calendar adjustments were made:
January 23, 2024: NO School for students. This is the date of the Primary Election and will also be a Teacher Workshop Day.
May 24, 2024: This is now a FULL school day for students. No longer an Early Release.
The last day of school will also be a FULL school day.
I apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause however, the change in the New Hampshire Primary Election resulted in voting day changes.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season with family and friends doing what makes you happy.
Respectfully,

Hello Barrington Families,
I want to remind everyone that you now have the ability to receive text messages of all announcements sent out by the school district. You must "Opt-In" to activate the text message feature.
The Opt-In process will require you to download a complimentary mobile app which will allow you to set your message preferences. Register using the email address that you have on file in PowerSchool.
There is a video with instructions on how to download and register for the app here. Once you have access to the app you can make updates to your notification preferences. You can choose any combination of phone, email or text.
If for any reason you have trouble downloading the app, you can contact SchoolMessenger support directly.
I wish you the happiest of holidays!
Facilities
The Holidays are fast approaching. This time of year brings a lot of joy and happiness with family and friends. This is when the children get excited and are looking forward to the Holiday break. I am hoping that everyone has a great vacation.
We need your help! We are experiencing some student bathroom vandalism issues at both the Elementary and Middle Schools. There has been a little bit of mischievous action going on from paper towels being stuffed in sinks and toilets to flood the floors, to drawing on stall doors and kicking stall doors in so they can not be opened or closed properly. Myself along with the other maintenance and custodial staff have been talking with students directly to teach and explain respecting property and valuing our school, community, and each other.
Over this Holiday break it would be wonderful if you could take a few moments to discuss respecting property and appropriate public bathroom use. I am hopeful that these concerns will have diminished once we return from the break.
Thank you all and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
