Week of December 4th, 2022
From the Desk of Mrs. Methvin
Wow! What an EXCITING week at IGA with education reimagined! Our Reimagineers have completed 78 days of learning and growing. The week has encompassed active learning as well as academic review as students prepare for upcoming local assessments. The Beacon Assessment (Grades 3-8) will be administered December 5-7. The Acadience Assessment (Grades K-3), Math Inventory (1-8), and Reading Inventory (2-8) are scheduled for January 9-11.
This week, students have also been busy creating through art, music, dance, and drama. These activities will be displayed and/or performed at the Annual DCS Hometown Holly. Our Fine Arts Showcase will be on Thursday, December 8th at 6:30 PM in the Dublin High School Auditorium! Students from across the district will display their talents, and you're sure to leave with a smile on your face and holiday spirit in your heart.
Currently, we are engaged in an on-going fund raiser. Together, we can make a BIG difference. For over 25 years, Box Tops for Education has given families an easy way to earn cash for schools. This can be done with products that your family already purchases. Here’s how it works: 1. Buy Box Tops products, 2. Scan your receipt, and 3. Earn cash for our program. It is easy to start earning cash for IGA, and all that you need is the Box Top app. See the link below for instructions and how to sign up.
We want to give a big shout out to our Junior Beta Club students! Last week they travelled to Savannah to compete in various areas at the State Convention for the first time.
