• Attend 4 scheduled PTO meetings and/or
• Chair an event

Wow! March did not disappoint! Our CES students spent hours reading books all month long. I'm excited to see the results of our hard work over this past month when we move into our next assessments. I enjoyed seeing all of the photos on Face Book of you reading with your children and your children reading to siblings! I hope you get some well needed rest and relaxation during Spring Break. Whether you are going away on a quick trip, taking a week long vacation or just having a staycation at home all week I hope you are able to spend time together as a family. I have posted some fun things below you can do during Spring Break if you are staying home.

Breakfast will be free for all students this year. Students may enter the building at 7:40 a.m. for breakfast and they will eat in the cafeteria. Students not eating breakfast can enter the building at 7:50 a.m. School starts at 7:55 a.m and ends at 2:55 p.m. Half days are 7:55-11:20 a.m.

Showing up to school greatly impacts a student's academic success. Families play a crucial role in ensuring that a student gets to school safely and on time daily. We understand that absences are unavoidable, such as illness or medical appointments. Please call in advance if your child will not be in school.

I hope everyone has a restful Spring Break! You all deserve this break to rest and come back refreshed to rock the rest of the year out! We will start small groups back up when we return from break and work on social skills and worry as we near the end of the year.

Career Day will be Thursday, April 27th this year.

Please reach out if you are interested in participating, I am in need of many volunteers still!

April 27th is also our ART of Feelings after school class for those who are signed up.

We will be focusing on always trying your best, and not giving up. Learning from your mistakes, thinking before we act and setting goals.

Defined as: Never giving up, no matter what!

With Spring upon us we will see more seasonal allergy symptoms showing up. Great Start Readiness Program in Jackson County is currently accepting applications for 3 and 4 year old children for the 2022-2023 school year. Children must be 4 years old by December 1, 2022 to qualify for the Great Start Readiness Program and 3 years old by December 1, 2021 to qualify for Head Start.

With Covid-19 and the flu becoming more prevalent this time of year, I encourage you to keep an eye out for signs and symptoms and make our staff aware if your student comes into contact with anyone who is sick or who has tested positive for Covid. Since our protocol and policies are always changing, we can inform you of what we are doing at this time to keep our staff and students safe and healthy. The PTO Meeting is the first Thursday of every month.

All parents and staff are invited to attend. Free childcare is available during the meeting.
