CAR RIDER REMINDERS
Due to the high traffic volume on both Penn and in our parking lot, it is strongly discouraged to use the crosswalk on Penn. In an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, please plan on dropping off and picking up your child in the car line.
Arrival and Pickup at School
Children who walk or are driven to school are to arrive between 8:40-8:55 am for K-3rd and 8:15-8:30 for Pre-K. There is no supervision for students before 8:40 am (K-3rd). Please do not drop your student off before then.
PLEASE STAY OFF YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE IN THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT.
Students must be dropped off for school IN THE CAR LINE ONLY. You may not park and walk your child up to the door, unless you arrive after 8:55 or when the front doors close. If no staff is on duty outside, it means you need to park, walk your child into the building and sign them in.
When dropping off your child in the car line, the child must exit the vehicle on the passenger side only. In the event that your child is having a rough morning, you may be asked to park until a member of staff can assist. Please do not exit your vehicle at any time.
At dismissal, please do not exit your vehicle at any time. Students MUST enter the car from the passenger side of the vehicle. Please follow the directions of the school staff. When your child gets in the car, if they cannot buckle their own seatbelt, you may be asked to park until the seatbelt can be secured. Please do not hold up the car line and the people in it by staying in the carline while your child buckles up.
New Procedures this year with SMART Dismissal:
Car & Backpack Tags: All elementary students and their families are assigned a site Car Tag and matching Backpack Tag number. These numbers are provided to ensure students go home with the adult they are supposed to be with. Even bus riders are assigned these tags so that in the event of early dismissal, class parties, or emergencies, we will have a way to match students with their families. Each household will be provided with two Car Tags and each student will be provided with one Backpack Tag. Additional Car and Backpack Tags can be purchased on MySchoolBucks.
Car: Students will go to one or two grade-level classrooms (depending on grade level and number of students). Smart dismissal will be displayed on the screen sorted by grade level. Two teachers will be on car duty. Once the student dismissal number is displayed, students will be directed to the foyer.
BUS RIDERS
MY RIDE K-12
Our third party vendor is replacing the Traversa Ride 360 app with the My Ride K-12 app. The Ride 360 app will be discontinued by the end of the school year.
My Ride K-12 is available for download now, and we ask you to begin using it as soon as possible. You will use the same login information for My Ride K-12 as you do Traversa Ride 360. You will still be able to track buses, identify bus routes and receive messages from the transportation department. With My Ride K-12, you can now activate a feature in the settings to receive push notifications when your student scans their badge on or off the bus.
FREE TUTORING FOR ALL STUDENTS
All our students (K-12) have access to free tutoring services through a partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

To access the program follow the steps below.
1. Go to Clever.com or download the app onto an ipad. Your child's school iPad should already have this.
2. Scan your child;s QR Code (request this from your child''s teacher)
** You are automatically enrolled through Deer Creek, so when you follow steps 1-2, you will be ready to go.
