The UIL 6A Softball Playoffs began this past week. The Dekaney Lady Wildcats faced off against Conroe and the defending 14-6A Champion Spring Lady Lions took on Oak Ridge.
Dekaney vs Conroe
On Thursday, Dekaney lost in a 1 game series to a very tough Conroe team which was the #1 seed from District 13-6A. This ended a very successful season for the Lady Wildcats.
Spring HS vs Oak Ridge HS
Also on Thursday, Spring took on a very tough Oak Ridge team in a 3-game series and came away with the victory 4-2. Game 2 was held on Friday night but was postponed due to lightning and rain. The Lady Lions picked up where they left off on Saturday by beating Oak Ridge by the score of 10-1 to advance to the State Area Round. The team also belted 3 Home Runs out of the park during that contest.
