We’re Shouting the News! We’ve Been Recognized for our Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports Efforts!
Congratulations, Moraine Community!
The MiMTSS Technical Assistance Center has recognized Moraine and Northville Public Schools for our MTSS implementation efforts. We’re so proud of the work we are doing together, and we accept this award on behalf of our students, families, communities, and staff.
In addition to partnering with our families, the Moraine MTSS team includes our amazing paraprofessionals, classroom teachers, and with support from our MTSS leadership: Amy Devlin (Learning Consultant), Jenny Colosimo (School Psychologist), Katie Grimm (Resource Room teacher), Michelle Byers (School Social Worker), and Cathy Brenton (Speech Pathologist). If you've worked with this team, you know how incredibly special they are!
Together, we’re successfully building a community that works together to address these core features of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports:
· Team-Based Leadership
· Tiered Delivery System
· Selection and Implementation of Instruction, Interventions and Supports
· Comprehensive Screening & Assessment System
· Continuous Data-Based Decision Making
The NPS MTSS work is specifically targeting to benefit learners and our community in these ways:
· Closing opportunity gaps
· Consistently providing high-quality education for all students
· Using data to identify successes and strengths
· Using data to quickly identify needs of students and provide support

Glow Week (10/25-10/31) in your child's STEAM Class
Halloween Parade Info!
Halloween celebrations will take place at Moraine on Monday, October 31st, with our parade through North Beacon Woods beginning at 9:30am. If you are signed up to volunteer at your child's classroom party, you need to have a current ICHAT form on file by October 24th. Students can either wear their costume to school or be able to put it on over their clothes to avoid congestion in the bathroom areas.
Please follow these guidelines when planning your child's costume:
- Please make sure the costume is weather appropriate (students will go outside for recess)
- Students are responsible for their costumes not causing a problem during learning time.
- Face make-up, hairspray, etc. must be applied at home.
- No fake weapons of any kind are allowed at school.
- No fake blood and no scary costumes (if it would scare a kindergartener, please don’t wear it!)
The Halloween Parade route will take us outdoors and therefore, will only take place if the weather cooperates. There is no Plan B if inclement weather. The route will take us through North Beacon Woods.
Traffic Safety In North Beacon Woods
Dear Moraine Families,
It has come to our attention that there have been recent instances of unsafe driving during arrival and dismissal times in the North Beacon Woods neighborhood. On one occasion, a car was seen speeding past a stroller and family. The safety of our students is our utmost priority, and we urgently remind all families of the critical importance of safe and responsible driving around our school premises. We kindly request your cooperation in:
Driving under the speed limit during these busy times
Driving through the subdivision as opposed to turning into a neighbor’s driveway and backing up
Leaving yourself plenty of time in the morning and after school
Only parking on one side of the street to keep as much space in the road as possible
We remind our families that our school arrival and dismissal procedures continue to be highly efficient and recommend using our school lot.
By prioritizing safety and vigilance during these critical periods, we collectively contribute to creating a secure environment for our students and ensure their well-being. Your support and commitment to fostering a safe school community are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for partnering with us in promoting a culture of safety within our school community.
Kind regards,
Joe Reimann
