A note from Mr. Rich
Hello DMS Students and Families,
2024 is off to a positive start here at Dudley Middle School. Mrs. Snow and the Tri M Music Honor Society had its induction Wednesday, January 10th. Wesley Lawless, Chase Murzicki, Wyatt Pelletier, and Victor Sobinski were inducted as new members. Stephani Krysinski, Mikhail Nemera, and Tyler Kocseweski are returning members. The National Junior Honor Society, NJHS, will be having their induction on Monday, January 22, 2024. The PTO and Grade 5 have some fundraisers coming up, and Ms. Patrock is continuing “Community Service Learning 2024” with pajama bags, check out the flyers below.
Ms. Lynch has acquired a grant from MIT for a very exciting program. Ms. Lynch along with a team of students from grade 5-8 will be members of the Mini Boat Program for Global Ocean Stewardship. Take a look at the press release in the smore below.
As I make final preparations for my departure on January 19th, I have been reflecting on my time here at Dudley Middle School. It has been a pleasure to get to know the students and staff here. Mr. Tucker is prepared to take over and Mr. Gilrein, the interim Assistant Principal, has jumped right in with both feet. I know that I leave DMS in very capable hands. Thank you all, I will miss you all.

News from the Nurse
We are currently in the thick of cold and flu season. We have seen an increase in strep throat, Covid, and the flu in our district. Now is a great time if you have not already done so to wash coats, hats, and disinfectant backpacks. As a reminder children should stay home from school for 24 hours after the last episode of a fever (without medication) and/or last episode of GI symptoms. Covid guidelines have remained the same and can be found here . Please contact the nurse's office if your child tested positive for Covid. Please make sure to send in yearly physicals to the office and/or nurse's office. It creates a seamless process so we can update our records for state mandated vaccinations, and athletics requirements. Thank you for trusting us with your children!
Stay healthy, happy, and don't forget to wash those hands!
