Talley Street Update

Dear Talley Street Community,

I hope everyone’s week is going well. Classroom placements are now available in Infinite Campus. If you log into Infinite Campus and do not see a schedule for your child, please let the school know as soon as possible.

New math standards will be taught during the 23-24 school year! Use this link to read more information about the new math standards from the Georgia Department of Education.

If you have not completed the Annual Data Update, please do so before the first day of school. Talley Street is lagging behind the other CSD schools’ completion rates. We have less than 50% of our families who have completed the update. Below is the information that I sent out last week. I would truly appreciate your help in getting this task completed.

"The Annual Data Update for returning CSD families is open! The ADU is how families verify or update critical communication and health information, and to do sign-offs for the handbook and code of conduct. Please visit https://www.csdecatur.net/adu for more information, or login directly to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Help make OUR school the first to reach 100% completion! If you need assistance accessing the Parent Portal, click Login Help at https://www.csdecatur.net/adu or contact the school's front office at 470-283-7340.”

Opening Day

We are excited to welcome the students back for a celebration on the first day of school! We will be welcoming back out House members in the 4th and 5th grade and sorting our new Talley Tigers. We would like for 4th and 5th graders to wear their House shirts or field day shirts on Tuesday. Make sure to represent your House-be creative! Our new students will receive their House shirts after the sorting ceremony. We can't wait to see you!

Girls on The Run

It's time for Girls on the Run to start at Talley Street! Teams are M/W and Tu/Th from 2:30-4:00 at Talley starting the week of 9/11 to the week of 12/4. We need coaches to volunteer in order to host teams! Please contact Ms. Bundschu (nbundschu@csdecatur.net) with any questions.

Talley families, your House teachers have an awesome Opening Day planned! We encourage you to wear your House colors on August 1st- the first day of school.

New to Talley? Welcome! You'll be sorted into a House and the PTO will have a House tshirt for you. Six Houses One Talley!

August 1: Volunteer with us!

We need lots of volunteers to help kick off the Opening Day festivities at Talley. Volunteer for a little or a lot here

August 5: Popsicle Social

Join the PTO and other Talley families for a morning of popsicles on the playground from 10 am-12 pm! Popsicles are generously being provided by Tim Cox & Co Realtors.
