NOT GOODBYE...UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
Mrs. Mongeon has been the rock of our school community, watching over and guiding our students along their educational journey! She has celebrated many milestone, bandaged many knees, and hugged away many worries, always with a gentle smile and words of encouragement. Ms. Mongeon will be missed beyond words!
Happy retirement Ms. Mongeon! May the Lord be with you today and always.

Please help us keep our students safe at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
MORNING KISS AND RIDE ROUTINE
Student safety is of the utmost importance here at St. Peter School. We would like to take this opportunity to review our Kiss and Ride safety protocols with all families.
We encourage all parents to use the bus transportation in place for your children. However, if your child does not qualify for a bus or if you choose to drive your children to school, or pick them up at the end of the school day, you are reminded to follow the Kiss and Ride safety procedures:
Children remain in the car until the car reaches the end of the Kiss and Ride lane where a staff member is. * Please note, parents should not be exiting the vehicle and leaving it unattended at any time.
Staff on duty will signal to the student(s) when it is safe to exit the vehicle and walk safely to the sidewalk. At no time should students exit a vehicle and cross between buses.
Children should only be dropped off in the Kiss and Ride lane for their safety.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we endeavour to continue to keep everyone safe.

WORLD TEACHERS' DAY
Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 is United Nations World Teachers’ Day and we would like to take the opportunity to recognize and celebrate our teachers for their commitment and dedication to Catholic Education here at St. Peter's.
Teachers have a great influence on us. They help prepare us for life. They teach us skills we need to participate and compete. They help us identify our strengths and weaknesses. They work to make us stronger students and hopefully, better people.
We thank our wonderful staff for the work they do on a daily basis. They are the reason we have such an exciting, vibrant school and the dedication and effort they put forth to help our students to excel.

MABEL'S LABELS
Let’s start the year off right! Families are encouraged to label as many of your child’s items as possible to reduce the chance of items being accidentally shared or lost. Take this opportunity with our Mabel’s Labels Fundraiser to purchase stylish, long lasting, waterproof labels for all of your child’s items! They are reasonably priced and if this is done, then we have a much greater chance of returning the lost items to your child!

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
It was an incredible sight seeing so many students participate in the Orange Shirt Day. Students wore orange or pinned an orange heart to their shirts to honor this incredibly important day. We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all staff, students and families who wore orange to raise awareness of the very tragic legacy of residential schools, and to honour the thousands of survivors.
Let us not forget that there is still much work to be done. Let's continue the conversation, today and everyday.
